Coptic : The date of the Orthodox Easter is determined in the Julian Calendar. The Julian calendar was introduced by Julius Caesar in 45 BC and was in common use until the 1500s, when countries started changing to the Gregorian Calendar. Some countries (for example, Greece and Russia) used it into this century, and the Orthodox church in Russia, and other Orthodox churches still use it.
